to be honest with you a book isnt going to teach you how to play i play guitar and have been for about 3 years and when i first started i bought a bunch of books and never touched them what you should do is pick a song you really want to learn and listen to it over and over and try to learn to play it by ear, it may sound difficult but thats how i learned.
